Antitrust and Trade Regulation Law
King & Ballow represents clients in Federal and State courts, administrative proceedings, Congressional hearings, and investigations conducted by the Antitrust Division of the United States Department of Justice and by the Federal Trade Commission. Attorneys advise clients concerning the application of the Antitrust, Unfair Competition, Trade Regulation, and Consumer Protection Laws. Our attorneys develop Antitrust compliance programs, draft and analyze legislation, negotiate and litigate business contracts, and counsel clients regarding business torts and covenants not-to-compete.
Business proposals are analyzed for possible problems involving resale price restraints, information exchanges, territorial restrictions, exclusive dealing agreements, refusals to deal, tying arrangements, and price discrimination under the Robinson-Patman Act. Our attorneys prepare filings under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act, negotiate mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and joint operating agreements under the Newspaper Preservation Act, and conduct closings on business transactions.
