Mary Catherine Amerine

Mary Catherine Amerine is an Attorney in the Entertainment and Intellectual Property Sections of King & Ballow in Nashville, Tennessee.

Mary Catherine earned a Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, in English with minors in Philosophy and Anthropology, from The Catholic University of America.  She also received her law degree from William & Mary Law School, cum laude, with honors.

Mary Catherine has won multiple writing awards, published articles and a book chapter on copyright issues, and was a 2022-2023 Edison Fellow at the Center for Intellectual Property x Innovation Law (C-IP2) at George Mason University, Antonin Scalia Law School.

Before joining King & Ballow, Mary Catherine worked for several international law firms representing domestic and international clients in advertising and unfair competition litigation, copyright and trademark enforcement and litigation, and other complex commercial disputes, as well as managing the international trademark portfolio for one of the world’s largest consumer retailers.
