Katherine M. Ives

Katherine M. Ives is an Attorney in the Entertainment and Intellectual Property Section of King & Ballow in Nashville, Tennessee.

Katie attended Emory University School of Law. Katie received her undergraduate degree from Middle Tennessee State University, majoring in Recording Industry with a dual concentration in Music Business and Commercial Songwriting.     

While in law school, Katie served as Vice President of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society. She was a student member of the Copyright Society of the USA and the Music Business Association. Katie participated in the Kessler-Eidson Program for Trial Techniques as well as many courses through the Center for Transactional Law and Practice.

Before working at King & Ballow, Katie externed extensively in the entertainment field, including at Fox Television Stations, Concord Music, Shackelford Bowen McKinley & Norton, UP Television, and Sony ATV, among others. She earned the Copyright Society of the South Award, the Copyright Solutions Scholarship, and the Brody Jay Memorial Scholarship while at Middle Tennessee State University.
