Jeremy D. Ray is an Attorney in the Entertainment and Intellectual Property Sections of King & Ballow in Nashville, Tennessee.

Jeremy earned a degree from East Tennessee State University, where he completed an Honors in Research Biology program and graduated magna cum laude.

Jeremy received his law degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law. He also received the Merchant & Gould Excellence in Intellectual Property Award, recognizing the top intellectual property student at the College of Law.

During law school, Jeremy was a member of both the Trademark Law Moot Court and the Patent Law Moot Court teams. He was invited to join The Order of the Barristers, an honors society recognizing excellence in advocacy. Jeremy also served as Acquisitions Editor for the Tennessee Journal of Law & Policy and Editor for the Tennessee Journal of Race, Gender & Social Justice.

Jeremy interned with Oak Ridge National Laboratory’s Office of General Counsel, working with ORNL’s in-house intellectual property attorneys on a variety of matters concerning copyright and patent law, technology transfer, and export control. Jeremy also interned with the University of Tennessee Research Foundation, where he worked to commercialize intellectual property developed at the University.
